Sensor precision for controlled cooking
The additional Simmer, Keep Warm and Melt functions available on most hobs of this category use sensors to control the cooking process.

Electronic multi-slider controls ensure quick and easy control of the power level of each individual cooking zone.

Functions
Warming function - Keeps cooked food warm at approx. 65 °C.
Powerplus - If you turn on PowerPlus, the selected cooking zone works with an extra high power level for a period of 10 minutes. The appliance automatically returns to power level 9 after 10 minutes. PowerPlus can be used to heat up a large volume of water very quickly, for instance.
Pan detection - Detects pots/pans with a base diameter of 10–22 cm.
Automatic warm-up function - Temporary full power, then switches back to the previous setting.
Melt function - For gently melting e.g. butter, chocolate or honey at approx. 40 °C.
Childproof lock - The childproof lock is intended to ensure the appliance cannot be switched on accidentally.
Bridging function - Switches two zones on behind each other and adjusts them together.
Safety package - The electronics are protected by means of an internal monitoring system and the power setting is reduced where necessary.
Pause button - Temporarily switch cooking zones to power level 1 for ten minutes.
Cleaning lock - Deactivates the control panel so that the controls can be briefly cleaned.
Simmer function - For simmering e.g. sausages or dumplings in hot water at below boiling point.
